REQUIREMENTS — CONCEPTUAL DESIGN
From our very first meeting or conversation, we work to understand your business challenges. Dimension solutions representative(s) will discuss your needs with you and determine if your project matches our capabilities. If we agree that Elite can solve or assist you with your problem, we enter the analysis and design phase of the project. Elite will provide you with a Statement of Engagement (SOE).
ANALYSIS AND DESIGN — DETAIL DESIGN
During this stage, we work with your team to rigorously analyze and precisely define your requirements. We evaluate several possible system architectures and pick one that minimizes the risks of technology, skill availability and schedule. The outcome of the analysis and design phase is a clear picture of the requirements needed – it becomes the blueprint for the project. At this point, we create a formal detail design. Along with a price quotation and completion date for developing the system, our scope always includes clear acceptance criteria, a release plan, and a detailed list of your responsibilities during the project. Upon your approval of the scope document we proceed to the implementation phase.
IMPLEMENTATION — CONSTRUCTION
During this phase, we develop the initial architecture through several iterations until the system is completely built and tested. Requirements are clarified and design alternatives are provided. We also work with you to come up with the best blend of your team and our team to work together during development. Such a blend promotes communication, gives you complete understanding of every step of the project, and assures that your team can maintain and enhance the deployed system with minimal or no help from us. Because of the modified waterfall development process, it is normal that you will want moderate changes in the system when you see the sub-system (feature) release. By keeping the feature release periods shorter in the beginning of the development, we are able to interact with you early and accommodate such changes minimizing additional costs and schedule delays. The final iteration leads to the test phase of the project.
TEST — QA TEST
This phase begins the system and performance testing stage. This phase is typically conducted and all defects are reported back to the original feature team. By conducting system and performance testing at your site, the client is assured that the system will function within their environment. It additionally allows for any support of help desk training so that the client will have sufficient training before deployment ever begins.
DEPLOYMENT — PRODUCTION
This phase begins user acceptance-testing and transitioning the system to the users. We then conclude the on-going technology transfer to your team – this includes on site user training. We ensure that your team has complete control and mastery over all the artifacts created during the project – requirements, architecture, design, code, test plans, documentation, data hardware usage, etc.
SOLUTIONS FRAMEWORK
Following a well-defined project framework ensures communication and understanding throughout the project life cycle. This framework results in clear expectations, detailed project parameters and successful deployment of a new system.
While strategic in nature, our aim is to take a tactical approach to solving enterprise challenges. This allows us to look at your total enterprise picture while at the same time addressing those components that need immediate attention.
